how we establish criteria to judge visual art

Here is a ‘painting’ done on artrage

 

I include it here as part of an investigation into how we evaluate art

clearly this has no ‘meaning’

and very little effort

 

however this painting could be put against another with no meaning and very little effort and presumably a decision could be made as to which was the ‘better’ painting

and then one could determine that ways in which the ‘better’ painting was ‘better’

and that could lead to a knowledge or a grounds for evaluating paintings,
